If you haven't heard of the small town of Sanford, Florida by now, well, you've been missing out on a lot.
Ever since 17-year-old teen Trayvon Martin was killed in late February, the small Florida town has received a lot of media attention and then some.
And now, by a group of neo-Nazis.
According to the Miami Herald Times, the Detroit-based group says that they are ready in case a race-riot ensues depending on the outcome of the possible trial of George Zimmerman, who's accused of murdering Martin while Martin was walking home on the night of Feb. 26.
The neo-Nazi group is stating that they are not there to advocate violence, but are there in response to the white residents fear of a race riot.
"Whenever there is one of these racially charged events, Al Sharpton goes wherever blacks need him," Commander Jeff Schoep of the National Socialist Movement told the news outlet. "We do similar things. We are a white civil rights organization."
Scheop added that certain measure by groups such as the New Black Panther Party, who offered a $10,000 bounty for Zimmerman, are a sign of possible racial violence.
"We don't wish for things like that," Scheop mentioned. "But there have been race riots in Detroit and L.A., so we know those types of things happen."
He also went on to say that the group of neo-Nazi's are there to show solidarity for the area's white community and not to take sides in the case. He mentions that "that's for the courts to decide."
