New Orleans Police have issued an arrest warrant for Russell Brand, who got into a bit of an altercation with a member of the paparazzi.

Brand reportedly grabbed an iPhone from owner Timothy Jackson and launched it through the windown of a law office.

Jackson, who was out with a group of photographers snapping images of the actor, filed a report with the New Orleans police indicating "criminal damages" in regards to the incident.

Yesterday, Brand took to Twitter and spoke towards the incident, tweeting "Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iphone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory."

Russell Brand is in New Orleans filming a new movie which may be put on a hold for a bit after this incident.
