A 14-year-old opened fire on a gang of four men who tried to break in his North Carolina home while his 17-year-old sister hid in the closet.

The four men attempted to smash their way into the home and when 19-year-old Michael Anthony Henderson Jr. burst in the back door, the boy opened fire on him. Henderson was later pronounced dead on the scene.

The teen called 911 and calmly reported the incident to the authorities, saying "I just shot the man. He came around the corner. I shot him. He broke the whole glass out (of the back door). I don't know how many it was (who broke in). Just one came around the corner. I got one more in the chamber. I'm going to shoot again."

The dispatcher warned the boy not to fire the gun again, and told him that police were on the way. The teen told dispatcher that he was "perfectly fine, but his sister was pretty shaken up" over the incident.

Michael Anthony Henderson's brother Seneca, 20, and one other man Andrew Terry, 23, have already been charged in the case. Another man, 21-year-old Jatwaun Davis is still at large.

Police said the teen will not face any charges for killing Michael Henderson on December 29. Under North Carolina's Castle Doctrine Law, homeowners can use deadly force if they fear their lives are in danger.
