Ice Cube has been in talks with New Line Cinema on making another Friday movie. It is said that Cube will write, star and produce the new installment of the film series. Whether or not Chris Tucker will be in the film is still up in arms. The actor now has a deep root in religion and would like his character's role to be revised. Tucker no longer wishes to portray the heavy pot smoker that Smokey was in the original movie.
Cube has mentioned that he wants to do the next film with Tucker. Chris has not been in any of the subsequent movies following the original and though they were funny, they haven't mustered up the acclaim of the first back in 1995.
Hopefully, "the last Friday" makes it to the big screen in the near future.
