Big Boi recently brought to light offensive "golliwog" dolls in a New Zealand airport, which depict black people in a racially offensive manner. He tweeted photographs of the dolls, which got people talking and wanting to take action.

Big Boi's outburst attracted the attention of The New Zealand Herald, who contacted the airport and had the dolls removed.

Airport corporate relations manager, Richard Llewellyn spoke on the incident, stating: "Once we were made aware, the retailer was immediately asked to remove the product from sale. In this case we acknowledge that this is a product widely regarded as inappropriate. We apologise for any offence caused as a result of this product being on sale at the airport"
