George Zimmerman's newly appointed attorney Mark O'Mara recently requested that Judge Jessica Recksiedler be removed from overseeing this sensitive case, because her husband is a partner of fellow CNN analyst, Mark NeJame, who is contractually obligated to report on this case through the media.

O'Mara filed the request on Monday and Jessica Recksiedler signed off on it, relieving herself of her duties in this particular case.

Kenneth R. Lester Jr. has been appointed the new judge to preside over the case. The Orlando Sentinel reported that Lester Jr. has been the judge in some rather high profile cases in the past and is no stranger to these type high-publicity instances.

He'll be presiding over the case of George Zimmerman, who has been charged with 2nd degree murder in the shooting death of 17-year old Trayvon Martin.
