Former NBA superstar Jayson William has been released from prison after serving eight months of a one year sentence for driving under the influence.

Since his retirement from the NBA, Jayson Williams has been in the news a few times, but not for any post-NBA situations.

Back in 2002, he served 18 months for aggravated assault in the death of his limo driver, which was the first major incident. In 2010, he was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, whith his blood alcohol level sitting at 3x the legal limit. He swerved across four lanes before hitting a tree, officers stated.

He was released from Rikers Island this morning.
