In the latest episode of ‘It Is What It Is,’ Mase spoke about stepping away from the music industry in 1999. While talking about the matter, Mase reflected on a number of his peers who couldn’t leave the music industry unscathed and noted that his move was the right choice.

When asked if he thought it was the right choice, Mase replied, “I did.”

He continued to speak on other artists who were on Bad Boy Entertainment before and after him, saying: “Everything now that we see playing out was all the things I escaped — the car, Shyne, Loon, Puff Daddy, Craig Mack, Biggie Smalls — so even though I made those decisions and it cost me money, that’s why I got with Killa and they gave me the money back. I didn’t lose no money. Destiny.” Watch above.
