Shannon Sharpe Likes Tweets Dissing Skip Bayless Amid Reports of FS1 Departure

Reports surfaced on Wednesday (May 31) that Shannon Sharpe has reached a buyout agreement with Fox Sports and that he's leaving "Undisputed." 

Many speculated that Shannon's relationship with his co-host Skip Bayless was irretrievably broken after they got into a tense argument over Skip's tweet about Damar Hamlin in January. Several VladTV guests, including D.L. Hughley and Gilbert Arenas, felt that Skip took things too far during the argument, with Hughley stating that Skip would never say anything like he did to Shannon outside of the show.

Following the news of Shannon allegedly leaving "Undisputed," the former NFL tight end liked tweets that suggested the decision is over his crumbling relationship with Bayless. One of the tweets read, "@FS1 keeping @RealSkipBayless and losing @JennyTaft @ShannonSharpe is like a music promoter keeping Weird Al Yankovic but getting rid of Lady Gaga and James Brown." 

The other tweet read, "Their relationship got progressively worse over the last 2 maybe 3 years because skip fought for him to be on that show but I feel like skip couldn't stand Shannon succeeding without and that's when skip was taking pot shots on air."
