A Jacksonville-based by the name of Guap Shvt recently went viral for posting a series of graduation photos that has sparked online debates between supporters of the right to bare firearms and those who have called into question his intelligence despite having just earned a Bachelor's degree from Florida International University.
Back in May, the "Creepin" rapper uploaded the controversial images of himself on Instagram, decked out in a blue graduation cap and gown while holding a gun with his finger near the trigger. The caption underneath read, "I Got This Bachelors Degree For Everybody Who Look Like Me. Don't Ever Let Nobody Puchu Inna Box [100 emoji]." The photos have been making their rounds on social media as of late, gaining the attention of critics and supporters alike.
"Okay but why the gun?" wrote one IG user.
"This guys is literally standing there with an AR and neck tats...with a bachelor degree...this is like, the most insane book cover I've ever seen...would definitely read it," added another IG user.
"I guess a Bachelor Degree don't make u smart," wrote another commentator.
Not all of the responses were negative, as several users in the comment section stated how proud they were of Guap Shvt for working hard and earning his degree, while others pointed out that he has every right to carry guns.
