Eddie Murphy appeared on The Tonight Show to promote the upcoming sequel to Coming to America. During the interview, Jimmy Fallon listed a few icons and asked the comedic legend which memory came to mind. Once Prince was mentioned, Murphy detailed the infamous basketball match against Prince which was featured on Chappelle's Show.

"We had on club clothes and Prince had on that outfit that was in the 'Kiss' video, where he had the little short shirt and the leather jacket with the buttons," Murphy recalled. "He had that outfit on and a little gold chain around his waist...It was Prince and some dude named Micki Free that used to hang out. They used to all wear that kind of Prince clothes so my brother was like, 'Alright it's going to be shirts against blouses.' And they teamed up and the blouses won. They beat the f*** out of us."

Before describing the Prince story, Murphy also detailed his interactions with iconic figures, such as Muhammad Ali, Richard Pryor, Stevie Wonder, and Rodney Dangerfield.

Eddie Murphy's upcoming film, Coming 2 America, will be released on March 5 via Amazon Prime Video. The sequel to the 1988 classic also stars Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Kiki Layne, Wesley Snipes, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos, and Tracy Morgan.
