Recently, videos surfaced online of the NYPD over-policing citizens at the train station, with one video going viral of a man who was inside a train car with his hands up, while police pointed guns at him from the outside of the train. Now, citizens recently took to the street in protest and demonstrated by conducting a mass turnstile hop near the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn.
Reports noted that about 1,000 people showed up in protest, with many of them chanting “how do you spell racist, N-Y-P-D!,” as well as hopping the turnstile. Watch above.
