Kevin Durant brushed off talk of Drake getting under his skin, following the Warriors' defeat of the Raptors in Toronto on Saturday night, January 13.

KD conceded that he "hated missing that one," and "had to ignore him," when asked how he felt about Drake clowning him over a missed dunk late in the second quarter. The former MVP went on to dismiss the idea that the Canadian rapper's presence had much bearing on the outcome.

“Do not give him that much credit, he’s not the reason why it was fun out there," Durant said during his post-game interview. "But he does bring a different element to the game, someone who is so close to the organization and to the city, everybody realizes when we playing Toronto."

Durant, Klay Thompson, Steph Curry, and the gang indeed had "fun" out of the gate. The Warriors led by as much as 27 at one point and scored 81 points on 71.1 percent shooting in the first half. However, a 42-point effort led by DeRozan would find Toronto working their way back into the contest and posing a legitimate threat.

Unfortunately for Drake, Toronto came up short in a 127-125 loss. After putting Drake's presence into perspective, Durant showed love to fans of Toronto, in general.

"It was a fun game. The crowd is always amazing here, I’m glad it was a solid turnout, and we got the W,” he said.
