Rap legend Eminem was recently interviewed by NPR's Michael Martin, and his feelings about Trump were a prevalent speaking point throughout the interview. Em, who has just released Revival, his 9th studio album, was asked about the cover art for the project. The image shows an American Flag with a man holding his head in his hands, seemingly frustrated.

Eminem explained, "The cover is me with my head down because as much as I love our country, we got s*** that we gotta work on. We got s*** that we gotta get better at. It's kinda like, I love our country; I'm upset with it right now," he continued to say, "Watching the Trump thing has been ... frustrating."

Martin asked Slim Shady about his infamous BET Hip Hop awards freestyle back in October, which was full of shots at the controversial president. When asked if he had intended for his freestyle to gain so much attention, Em responded, "It was more to get his attention, to see if he would say something back, and then I got some ideas."

The president has not acknowledged the performance, though this is not the first time Eminem has expressed that he wishes the president would acknowledge it. But, several celebrities, including Colin Kaepernick and Lebron James had taken to Twitter to express support.
