The first-week sales projections for Eminem's Revival are in and according to Hits Daily Double, the ninth studio album from the Detroit rapper is expected to sale between 280,000 to 300,000 album units.

Reportedly, 190,000 to 210,000 of those units are coming from pure sales. These projections are much more moderate than his last offering The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which debuted at 792,000 in its first week.

Despite the modesty of the numbers, Revival will be still likely debut at the No. 1 spot on Billboard's 200. This will be Em's 8th consecutive album to debut at that spot. His first major label project The Slim Shady LP is the only one to miss the mark, though it debuted at No. 2 when upon release in 1999. Eminem's Recovery sold 741,000 its first week, Relapse (2009) moved 608,000, and The Marshall Mathers LP moved 1.78 million copies its first week.

The official numbers for the album will be released within the week.

The Friday release of the project had some major competition with N*E*R*D (NO_One Ever Really Dies), Boosie (BooPac), G-Eazy (The Beautiful & Damned) and Jeezy (Pressure) also dropping projects. Where do you rank Em's album among the group?
