Pasadena police released the body camera footage of a violent arrest that took place in November, where a suspect's leg was broken by police.

The six-minute video shows Christopher Ballew at a gas station when he is pulled over by two officers for traffic violations. One cop pins Ballew to his car and wraps one hand behind his back. The other officer is heard telling him, to "stop acting like a dummy" when Ballew is asked to put his other hand behind his back.

Ballew is overheard saying, "come on man you're hurting my ankle" and "stop" while being pinned to the car. Then the officers proceed to push and pin him to the ground. As the arrest gets violent, Ballew questions why the officers are manhandling him, and repeatedly asks for the commanding officer.

The suspect was taken into custody after more officers arrived on the scene and pulled him to the ground. Investigators said that Ballew resisted arrest and cite that at one point he picked the baton out of the officer's hand. Both officers are still on active duty as the incident is under investigation. The police department released the video to show what occurred, as many feel the action was justifiable.

"It was just in the interest of transparency and for people to understand police procedures and just the overall interest in what actually occurred during this incident," Pasadena PIO William Boyer said.
