A full 21 years have passed since Tupac Shakur's death, and details have continued to surface.

After Tupac's death seemed to stump the Las Vegas police, TMZ got the 4-1-1 from the very detective who led the investigation of the weapon that was used to kill him.

Retired L.A. Sheriff Department detective Timothy Brennan explained that "the .40 caliber Glock was found in a Compton backyard in 1998." The detective went further to tell once the ballistic match was found, the ATF sent the gun to Vegas police.

However, the LASD testing wasn't enough proof that the handgun was, indeed, the weapon used in the shooting. This led to Vegas rejecting it without further explanation for Detective Brennan and "the ATF sending it back to L.A." It later came out that the Glock "mysteriously disappeared."

Regardless of an 11-year-gap since its vanishing, as far as Brennan is concerned, the gun used to kill the legend is stored away in the custody of L.A. authorities.

In other related and coincidental news, Orlando Anderson, a known street rival of Tupac, was killed in gang violence the day after the gun was found. Anderson was the man Tupac and his crew infamously beat up in the MGM Grand before he was murdered. People have theorized Tupac's killing was an act of revenge for the Crip gang member.
