Women’s rights lawyer, Lisa Bloom, tried to seek money from donors and media outlets for women who accused President Donald Trump of sexual misconduct, a new report said on Friday.

According to The Hill, Bloom offered to sell the alleged victims’ stories to TV outlets and wanted to pocket a portion for herself as a commission. She persuaded a donor to pay off one accuser’s mortgage and tried to get a six-figure payment for another woman, who eventually declined to come forward even after being offered as much as $750,000.

The Hill cited contract documents, emails and text messages it collected -- including an exchange of texts between one woman and Bloom that referred to pro-Hillary Clinton political action committees.

Bloom told The Hill that she didn’t seek to pressure women to come forward, but wanted to raise funds so they could relocate or arrange for security after they went public. She added that while she represented sexual harassment victims “for free or at reduced rates,” part of her contracts required women to pay her a commission as high as 33% if their stories were sold to tabloid outlets.

In a statement to The Hill, Bloom said “You’ll recall the very polarized and hostile atmosphere of [the] 2016 presidential election. Emotions were running high, there were incidents of violence on the campaign trail, and threats of violence were a real and abiding concern. Nonetheless, several brave women came forward to accuse Donald Trump of harassment and assault.”
