After whispers of Tekashi 6ix9ine's sexual misconduct case started to come forward, the rapper decided to speak out about outsiders' opinions.

The "Gummo" rapper gained the attention of many through his strong social media presence and scoring two Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers. However, a chain of events eventually led people to pay more attention to the 21-year-old for accusations of committing a heinous crime.

What started as rap beef led into competing rappers, Zillakami and Trippie Red, publicly referring to Tekashi as a "pedophile." Further investigation brought out the actual finding of his (given name, Daniel Hernandez) guilty plea from the Manhattan District Attorney's Office of "the use of a child in a sexual performance on October 20, 2015," according to Jezebel.

Issues ensued because the victim was under 17 but also because three videos of the incident were found on social media by the victim's mother. Tekashi claims he uploaded the footage for his "image" to add on to his "SCUMBAG persona for shock value."

Of course, much backlash followed after media outlets caught wind of the situation, especially following an interview he did with DJ Akademiks explaining his side of what happened. Responding to critics, Tekashi took to Instagram to show how unbothered he is by the "dirt" media outlets "throw on his name" as he poses with a blow-up doll.

Despite the guilty plea, 6ix9ine continues to attempt to downplay his role in the crime by referring to himself as a "free man." Take a look above.
