Eminem's Revival album may be receiving mixed opinions from listeners, but if there is one thing about the project that is pretty much being universally acknowledged it's that Revival is Em's most political effort to date. One motif that grounds the 77:39-minute offering is the Detroit rapper's transparent opposition to President Trump. And on the Alicia Keys-assisted track, "Like Home" he delivers a succession of rhymes that are so direct and intentional that it serves as a literal call to action against the Commander-In-Chief.

"Someone get this Aryan a sheet/ Time to bury him, so tell him to prepare to get impeached," Em spits in the opening verse. He then goes on to pepper the rest of his lyrics with references to events of the past year, including Charlottesville, while evoking imagery of his fans preparing to "square off in the streets." It becomes clear throughout the song that Trump is not one whom Eminem simply takes up a few differences with. Rather, he poses the President to be an enemy, comparable to "Hitler," who caters to "the Klan."

Emenim warned fans that he was drawing a line in the sand and was committed to confronting the topic of Trump's administration when during this year's BET Hip Hop Awards cypher he told them not to buy his music if they support the billionaire real estate mogul. Those who might not have had a clue that he was setting the table for a few protest songs down the line know now.
