Previously, Charles Barkley made comments about LaVar Ball and his duty as a father to his sons while on ESPN Radio that were less-than-flattering. Since then, fellow show host on Inside The NBA—Kenny Smith commented, saying Barkley is wrong about Ball.

While speaking to TMZ, Smith said “I don’t know if he’s exploiting them. He’s giving them opportunities they didn’t have, without question. think that there are multiple routes. He took that route, but he doesn’t know the other route, how it helps you to go to college, not just on a basketball standpoint.”

Smith went on to say “I think you learn more as a human being than you can learn as a basketball player sometimes. Being around people who are not like-minded with you, like at UCLA, who just don’t want to be there for basketball, and they’re learning about the world. That’s how I met my best friends. That’s how I met my business ideas. That actually made me a better basketball player.”
