The Cleveland Cavaliers decided to be petty Thursday night prior to their game against the Los Angeles Lakers. While Lakers' rookie Lonzo Ball was warming up, they played Nas' "New York State of Mind."

It was meant to troll Lonzo. During an episode of Ball in the Family, Lonzo was told that he's going to have to listen to real hip-hop during his interviews. He replied saying, "That’s not gonna happen. Y'all outdated man. Don’t nobody listen to Nas anymore, real hip-hop is Migos, Future.”

A lot of people attacked Lonzo for the comment, including Nas' manager, Anthony Saleh who called Lonzo "oatmeal face" and said Nas had never heard of him. Actor Michael Rapaport recorded another rant after the 20-year-old hooper showed up at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night rocking a hoodie with the Illmatic cover and his face superimposed over Nas' face. LaMelo Ball fired back at Rapaport on behalf of the Big Baller Brand family. Despite the backlash, Lonzo is sticking to his guns.

The Cavaliers went on to beat the lakers 121-112. Lonzo had a near triple-double with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists. LeBron James recorded an actual triple-double with 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists.
