XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, was sent to jail Friday morning (Dec. 15) after a judge ruled he violated bond conditions stemming from his 2016 arrest in his domestic violence case.

X was already facing charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic assault by strangulation, false imprisonment and witness-tampering.

Earlier this month, XXXTentacion filed a document allegedly signed by his ex-girlfriend and the victim in his domestic violence case, stating that she no longer wanted him to be prosecuted, but instead wanted the case dropped. However, the prosecutors suspected foul play concerning the affidavit. They believe she did not sign the document or was coerced into doing so, and was being harassed by XXXTentacion.

At a hearing in a Miami-Dade County courtroom Friday morning, a judge ruled that XXXTentacion was in violation of his bail conditions from his initial arrest and this time sent him to jail without bond. There is a good chance that he will remain in jail until his trial begins.

Prosecutors hit the Florida rapper with seven new charges, all felonies including different degrees of witness tampering and witness harassment. The 19-year-old rapper is now facing decades in prison if convicted.
