Longtime Donald Trump affiliate Omarosa Manigault Newman denied the claim that she was fired from her role at the White House. The former official sat down with 'Good Morning America' to share her side of the story.

“I resigned,” said Newman. “And I didn’t do that in the residence as it’s being reported. John Kelly and I sat down in the situation room, which is a very secure, very quiet room in the White House, and we had a very candid conversation. And I wanted to make the one-year mark. That was one of the goals that I set out to and then get back to my life.”

She further explained that most of the stories making rounds regarding her situation are “one-hundred percent false.” “One of the things that I’d ask of those people making those assertions since they assert that I did it so publicly is where are the pictures or videos? If I had confronted John Kelly who’s a very formidable person it would garner enough attention for anyone in the room to at least take a picture or video.”

Previous reports stated that Newman was fired and escorted off White House property after throwing a tantrum when Chief of Staff John Kelly refused to listen to her.
