Tory Lanez received some credit for his rap skills after dropping a near 8-minute freestyle for Funk Flex earlier this month. Many hip-hop fans did not know that the singer could rap, even Young Jeezy gave Lanez' pen some respect when he revealed the singer had written some hooks for him in the past before being famous on a recent episode of Everyday Struggle.

Jeezy isn't the only rapper mentioning Tory these days, Philly native Cassidy called on the 25-year-old for stealing bars during his freestyle. In a clip posted by DJ Akademiks, Tory's freestyle bars are compared to previous rhymes from Cassidy and Don Q. Cassidy commented on the compilation, "@donqhbtl that n***a @torylanez owe us a check for them BARS he stole #Wheresthebag We need to be compensated," he wrote.

However, the "Say It" singer quickly responded to the rumblings and allegations, criticizing people calling him a thief for using the same words as Cass or Don. He made it clear to point out the punchlines were different.

"I didn’t steal anything. None of the punchlines they showing are the same ... n****s tryna expose mans for 'similar words.' Get out of here fam," Lanez shot back. "What about the whole 8 minutes of FLAME that's mans are tryna discredit [...] Just go on YouTube and type in Tory Lanez freestyle ... u won't find nothing that I haven't ripped. I been doin this for years.”
