Trae The Truth is continuing to honor his commitment to bettering the Houston community. The rapper has been very active with his charitable efforts in his hometown, during and since the major flooding and devastation that occurred from Hurricane Harvey. Trae helped to raise relief money, was spotted out rescuing people on his personal boat, and even spent one of the days following the storm giving out food alongside fellow Houston native Beyonce and her family.

Now during the holiday season, Trae has helped out a local Houston family whose mother has breast cancer. In a news segment aired during the nightly programming on ABC Houston, it was reported that Trae gifted the family with a new refrigerator and other supplies. "Shaketa Thomas of Springs has stage 4 breast cancer, and she doesn't know if she'll live long enough to spend Christmas with her own four children," disclosed the news anchor. As the story continues, it is revealed that once Trae found out that the fridge in the home was broken, he delivered a new one to the family. In the video captured by the news channel, Trae is seen with a group of other men moving the appliance into the home and gifting the kids with a new Xbox and games.

Thomas expressed her gratefulness for the help. "I'm so blessed, and I'm so thankful. Even if I was to die tomorrow, I know what love feels like." Trae also delivered food and other necessities to the home.
