Floyd Mayweather's Money Team just grew one larger, and the new member is almost certainly the most controversial person to ever join the ranks of TMT. Ramzan Kadyrov, the Head of the Chechen Republic, met up with Mayweather during the boxing legend's recent trip to the Eastern European country.

Kadyrov is an avid user of Instagram, and with over three million followers he's clearly a popular one as well. So naturally, Mayweather gave Kadyrov a plug.

"Hey, what's going on? Everybody that's on Instagram, you better follow this man right here," said Mayweather in a short video clip featuring the boxer with his arm around Kadyrov.

"This is my buddy, this is my guy right here. And yes, he is a part of the Money Team. I'm in Chechnya right now. I'm worldwide with this. Floyd Money Mayweather."

While Kadyrov, a huge fan of combat sports, is no doubt thrilled to be taken into the fold by Mayweather, it seems inevitable that Floyd won't see backlash from the decision.

Kadyrov has been implicated in several instances of torture and murder. He's also openly called for the extrajudicial killings of gay men by family members, and in April, international media began reporting that gay men were being rounded up, detained and tortured in Chechnya.
