There has been much talk about LaVar Ball's unorthodox move to take his sons LaMelo and LiAngelo high school and UCLA respectively, in order to focus on developing their skills for the NBA. The newest phase of LaVar's master plan now involves his two teenage sons playing professional basketball overseas in Lithuania. The decision to ship his sons to Eastern Europe isn't unprecedented due to players like Brandon Jennings and Jeremy Tyler going overseas right out of high school to circumvent the NCAA. While many believe the move to be a bit risky, former NBA player and Defensive Player of the Year Metta World Peace believes it's a genius move.

Metta was stopped by TMZ to get his take on the move to Lithuania and he said that it's "brilliant." He stated that the AAU system in the U.S. doesn't promote fundamentals and that the coaches overseas are far more advanced in that area. Metta believes the Ball brothers will get the right type of professional development by playing overseas, citing discipline, and a lack of entitlement as key factors the two Ballers will learn.
