President Donald Trump says the Democrats are pursuing "false accusations" of sexual misconduct. Rachel Crooks, Jessica Leeds, and Samantha Holvey appeared on NBC's "Megyn Kelly Today" on Monday (Dec. 11) to share their stories of sexual harassment committed by Trump.

The allegations surfaced last year during the presidential campaign, but the women brought the issue back to the forefront on the Kelly show and at a news conference. Later on Monday, more than 50 female Democratic lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives submitted a letter to the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, calling for a congressional investigation into the allegations made by 17 women against Trump.

On Tuesday (Dec. 12), Trump fired back, tweeting that the Democrats were just looking for another way to bring him down. Trump says Democrats "have been unable to show any collusion with Russia" and now "are moving on to the false accusations and fabricated stories of women who I don’t know and/or have never met," he tweeted.

The Russia probe is still an active investigation and Democrats are looking to add the sexual misconduct inquiry into Trump's legal woes.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders pledged to provide a list of eyewitnesses whose accounts will exonerate the president, but the list is highly questionable. During a press briefing Tuesday morning while addressing the allegations of sexual misconduct Huckabee said: "The American people knew this and voted for the president, and we feel like we're ready to move forward."
