LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball have officially become professional basketball players after signing contracts with Lithuanian club Prienu Vytautas. The team is looking for the Ball brothers, in conjunction with their father LaVar, to bring much-needed publicity to the fledgling organization. This move also allows the Ball brothers to circumvent the NCAA, a la Brandon Jennings, in order to enter the NBA draft.

Vytautas plays in two leagues, the more competitive Lithuanian League (LKL) and the Baltic League. It is more likely that the teenage basketball stars will see more significant minutes in the Baltic League as opposed to the LKL.

The Big Baller Brand Twitter account released this statement after Gelo and Melo signed their contracts:

It's not about the money for the Ball Brothers. They have a passion to play Basketball and to experience playing as pros was the Goal. They have accomplished this mission and are excited to be playing on the same team to top it off. The Big Baller way!

What are your thoughts on the move? Do you think the Ball brothers will make it to the NBA? Will they be successful in Lithuania? Let us know in the comments below.
