Another day and another tweet flies from President Trump calling out the media for ill-reporting and "fake news" published about himself.

This morning (Dec. 11) Trump lashed out on Twitter over a report made by the New York Times about his daily routine. The paper published the story over the weekend and went into detail on Trump's day-to-day which includes the president watching four to eight hours of television and consuming 12 diet cokes. The NYT said the details of the story come from 60 people they interviewed "including many who interact with President Trump every day." However, the president suggests that the story is highly exaggerated.

“Another false story, this time in the Failing @nytimes, that I watch 4-8 hours of television a day — Wrong!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

Despite the claim made by Trump, The NYT's deputy managing editor responded to the tweet doubling down on the story. "We at The New York Times stand by our reporting, sourced from interviews with 60 advisers, associates, friends and members of Congress," Levy stated.

CNN, no stranger to the "fake news" allegations by Trump covered a segment on the report made by the Times early this morning. As a result, Trump targeted the network in his tweet as well. “Also, I seldom, if ever, watch CNN or MSNBC, both of which I consider Fake News. I never watch Don Lemon, who I once called the ‘dumbest man on television!’ Bad Reporting,” Trump added.

CNN's communications staff responded to Trump’s dig at Lemon in a statement: "In a world where bullies torment kids on social media to devastating effect on a regular basis with insults and name-calling, it is sad to see our president engaging in the very same behavior himself. Leaders should lead by example."

Trump has continually taken digs at media outlets and organizations that have criticized him. This past weekend alone, he took to Twitter to send out a slew of tweets about how the media creates false stories and is "out of control."
