Kimberly Jones, the mother of Keaton Jones, the bullied teen in a video that went viral over the weekend, is facing backlash for photos and posts she made online.

In one post, Kimberly wrote about the NFL national anthem protests, writing, "Dear butt hurt Americans, If you aren't bleeding, no bones are sticking out & you can breathe, STOP crying! For the love, some folks clearly never picked a switch. And before y'all start talking to me about metaphorical, emotional, financial or historical blood & brokenness, Don't. Join a group [sic]."

The Knoxville, TN-based mother also posted a photo that featured her smiling and holding a Confederate flag. Another image posted by Kimberly's daughter Lakyn features a boy standing next to Keaton holding a Confederate flag. The photo was captioned, "Merica #WelcomeToTheDirtySouth #Happy4th."

When Fox News asked Kimberly about the photos, she told them, "I've taken that down for a reason." She also denied telling Bellator MMA fighter Joe Schilling that she wanted money instead of help from celebrities who were moved by Keaton's video. Jones told Fox, "I did not tell him that I would rather have donations instead of the help from celebrities."

Amid backlash, Kimberly took to Instagram to defend herself against people saying she's using her son's pain to make a profit. She wrote, "I love my kids: Ya'll people do not know me or my family. Did y'all know that my son Keaton was spit on in school, picked on by teachers, that supposed to be there for him??? I'm guessing y'all didn't because y'all wanna steady Judge me and say I'm using him for money that's false."
