According to reports, a South Carolina man named Todd Kohlhepp who was previously arrested for killing seven people earlier in 2017, confessed to the murders of more people.

The 46-year-old man was taken in by police after they were on the hunt for a missing couple. The police eventually found a woman named Kala Brown on Kohlhepp’s property. She was chained inside of a storage container. Kala Brown told the police that the suspect shot her 32-year-old boyfriend then chained her up in the storage container.

Since then, Kohlhepp confessed to more murders via a letter he sent to the Spartanburg Herald-Journal. In the letter, the suspect said he tried to give a heads up to the FBI and detectives on the case, but noted his heads-up was “blown off.” Kohlhepp went on to say “At this point, I really don’t see reason to give numbers or locations.” The suspect also said he murdered people outside of the country, saying his reach “leaves the state and leaves the country.”

Kohlhepp is currently serving life in prison.
