Earlier last month, we reported that Meek Mill would be serving a 2-4 year sentence at the state correctional institution in Chester, Pennsylvania due to a violation of probation and a judge who refused to be lenient. Meek was arrested after violating his probation by writing a dirtbike through the streets of New York City.

After he was denied parole and re-incarcerated, Meek was being held in solitary confinement as a safety measure for the Philadelphia rapper. Last week, Meek made a request to be released from solitary after fearing that it could have adverse effects on his mind. At the correctional institution, Meek Mill is part of the general labor crew, cleaning up cell blocks, prison grounds and washing dishes for 19 cents per hour. He also occasionally cooks and serves food to fellow inmates. As a result of his good behavior, Meek Mill gets access to carpentry and electrical shops, while even getting 24/7 access to the library.

A worker at the prison says the rapper is doing all of this with a pleasant attitude and a smile.
