2017 has been one to remember for the University of Georgia football program.

In the most watched game this season, the University of Georgia was able to bounce back from a 40-17 loss to the Auburn Tigers earlier this year. Auburn was widely considered to be the best team in college football after knocking out Alabama and Georgia in back-to-back weeks. Following the game, it would seem that two players for Georgia enjoyed the victory a little too much.

According to authorities, University of Georgia football player Natrez Patrick was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana charge while Jayson Stanley was arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana, speeding, and driving while under the influence.

The arrest marks the third time that Patrick was arrested for drug related offenses after being charged earlier this year with a misdemeanor for drugs which led to a suspension. Patrick was previously suspended two years ago after being arrested previously for possession of marijuana. The student handbook at the University of Georgia mandates A Four-game suspension for players who receive multiple marijuana violations.
