2 Chainz may have shown why the debate over health care coverage is such a hot-button topic of discussion. Over the year, 2 Chainz has shown how important it is to remain in good health. During the summer, the Atlanta rapper served his community by transforming his temporary pink trap house into a “Trap clinic” were HIV testing could be conducted.

While pushing for better avenues for those in need to get care, during his Pretty Girls Like Trap Music Tour, 2 Chainz broke his leg. Despite the ailment, the rapper went on to finish out the tour, performing in a pink wheelchair.

However, 2 Chainz, who frequently tries out the most expensive items in the world for his show “The Most Expensive Shit,” showed why health care coverage might have more value.

On Wednesday, the Def Jam rapper revealed how much he would have been in the hole had he not had insurance for his broken leg.

“So okay check this out, I don’t know about Obamacare, Trump, I don’t know about none of that s**t,” 2 Chainz said before revealing the astonishing amount a broken leg could cost in the U.S. “You know I broke my leg, s**t cost me $84,000 in charges… Insurance paid $80,000 because I do have insurance."
