Kyrie Irving is lighting up the league this year with his new squad the Boston Celtics. Uncle Drew has squared himself firmly in the early discussions of MVP candidates and his Celtics are currently sitting atop the Eastern Conference. Moreover, Kyrie is a Nike sponsored athlete and his signature sneaker line has become a new staple for young hypebeasts.

But there are reports that Nike will be releasing a "takedown" model of the Kyrie's in order to make the sneakers more affordable. The new "takedown" Kyrie's will cost around $80, a slight discount from the $120 retail Kyrie 3. This places Kyrie in the same camp with other featured Nike athletes like Kobe Bryant who has a takedown model of his signature line as well as Kevin Durant and former teammate LeBron James.

Check out the images of Kyrie's new takedown model kicks in the slides above.
