It appears Ugly God is making good on his promise to use to the remaining days of 2017 to finish his long-awaited debut album. The Houston rapper took to Instagram to announce he's taking a brief hiatus from all his social media platforms to get a headstart on the 2018 music scene.

"I won't be on social media until 2018." Ugly God wrote. "I deleted both my Instagram & Twitter apps from my phone. I'm in the North Pole right now and I'm not coming back until I do 20,000,00 jumping jacks. I'm up here in the freezing cold working on my album. Don't for about me. I'm still here. I'm just letting them ni**as have 2017. Next year all mine. New vibes. Thank you."

Earlier this week, Ugly God announced that he was hunkering down to complete his album. The admission of taking a break from social media is somewhat shocking for him, considering he loves to communicate with his fans.

Recently, Ugly God revealed on Instagram how he pulls pranks on the staff of Walmart. Aside from funny revelations, he has also shared what his hard work in the game has helped him achieve, including buying a coveted red jeep and a home in the Hollywood hills.

While his 2.5 million Instagram followers and nearly 700k Twitter followers will be disappointed without updates on his movements, Ugly God seems to be willing to make sacrifices to produce great music.
