While the nation was gripped by the daily back and forth that ensued between President Trump and LaVar Ball this past week, the brash basketball dad got himself into a separate hostile situation - that may have a longer lasting impact on the Ball family than his rift with the Commander-In-Chief will. If you ask three-time NBA Champion and former head coach Byron Scott, that makes one beef too many, particularly seeing how it involves him getting into professional matters that he has no business being in. To Scott's determination, it is time that LaVar "S**t up. Be quiet."

Throughout the first month of the season, many held the opinion that LaVar was in denial about the initial impression Lonzo has made on the court in Los Angeles, but judging by how he has now openly ridiculed Lakers coach Luke Walton for the way Walton is coaching his son, it is at this point apparent that LaVar finds himself seeking a place to deflect a growing concern for his boy's playing career. Fans will recall LaVar saying that Walton is too "soft" and doesn't know how to coach Lonzo.

When asked by a TMZ reporter how he might respond if Lonzo came around while he was still coaching L.A., and LaVar directed such a comment at him, Scott said, "Basically, probably I would just say, 'shut up' and you know, just stay put, stay on the sidelines."

Scott says he gathers that LaVar may actually be trying to position himself for a coaching gig. When it comes to addressing a former player in the league with his experience though, LaVar would have to remind himself who has more experience between the two, before he raises up. As far as Scott is concerned, LaVar's assertion about Walton not being equipped to guide Lonzo the way he once did is "laughable."
