A 19-year-old MS-13 gang member was arrested in connection with a gruesome murder of male authorities say was stabbed over 100 times. Police say the victim's body was found on September 5 at Wheaton Regional Park in Wheaton, MD. The victim was placed in a grave and exhumed to be analyzed by the Chief Medical Examiner who ruled the death a homicide. The victim was decapitated and missing his heart at the time was the body was exhumed. Authorities say the victim was a Hispanic male, 5-foot 2-inches and weighing roughly 126 pounds.

As the investigation developed, police found that the murder was connected to the El Salvadoran street-gang, MS-13. Miguel Angel Lopez-Abrego, 19, was arrested on November 11 in North Carolina on charges of first-degree murder.

Detectives are still investigating the case and are diligently trying to identify the victim.
