TMZ is reporting that Philadelphia Eagles star defensive tackle is being sued by a man in North Carolina for allegedly sleeping with his wife and effectively ruining his marriage. Joshua Jeffords claims that Cox seduced and had sex with his wife during a work-related trip to Pennsylvania back in April. Jeffords also claims that the relationship continued through text messages following his wife's trip. He is now using those messages as proof that Cox is liable for "alienation of affection" which according to North Carolina law must be proven on 3 fronts:

1) You and your spouse had a genuine love and affection

2) The love and affection was alienated and destroyed

3) Malicious acts of a 3rd party produced the alienation of affection. Malicious is presumed if there's proof of sexual intercourse.

Jeffords stated in the suit filed on Wednesday, November 22, that Cox sent his wife pictures of his penis and messages saying that he wanted to get her pregnant. Jeffords says Cox has completely ruined his marriage and is seeking more than $25,000 in damages.
