Mark Cuban believes there is more to LaVar Ball's refusal to thank the President for getting his son home from China than meets the eye. The Dallas Mavericks owner was approached by TMZ out in New York City on Tuesday, November 21, and he was asked about his thoughts on the drama. Cuban first joked that all Trump wants is some free Big Baller Brand kicks, but then he shared what he genuinely speculates is going down with the basketball dad. According to Cuban, what the public is seeing is vintage LaVar, and LaVar is winning.

"On the real, they are so much alike. Because, Donald will say what he needs to stay in PR, in the mindset, and be talked about. So does LaVar. Donald doesn't apologize for anything. Neither does LaVar," Cuban said. "LaVar knows if he apologizes there's nothing else to talk about. LaVar doesn't apologize, he'll be in the news all day, every day, and the President will wind up having to talk about him. What's better for Big Baller Brand? It's straight out of the Donald Trump playbook. Congratulations LaVar."

On Monday, LaVar took to network cable to address his silence during an interview with fill-in host, Chris Cuomo, on CNN Tonight. For more than 20-minutes, he danced around Cuomo's questions, all the while defending why he doesn't see the reason to thank the President. Reactions to the heated one-on-one drew a range of reactions from viewers, with some feeling like it is only right that LaVar thank Trump, and others agreeing that the entire matter has been magnified and blown out of proportion by the President.
