XXXTentacion has been an open book about his struggles to remain a positive person, over the past couple of weeks on social media. A day or two prior to his fight with Migos affiliates, X was encouraging his peers to get their money together and leave petty beefs behind. After venting about the dust-up for a couple of days, he was back to preaching positivity.

On Monday, November 20, X continued to call upon his followers to go the positive route, only, this time the Florida rapper endeavored to get them comfortable with embracing themselves as a positivity cult, as opposed to a fanbase.

"I'm going to stop calling you guys fans. I'm going to start calling you members of my cult. This is a cult, not a fanbase. This is far more genuine than a fanbase," X told his fans in a video posted to social media.

He went on to rant about prior generations of people fostering violence while expecting the youth to bring about a brighter tomorrow. X said that bringing about that type of social change will take a commitment from people to change the way they think and engage one another. "The only way to have a positive future is to learn to love. Love is compromise, love is understanding. Love is basically, finding the other option other than spreading hate, ideally," he said.

Within hours of proposing the idea of a "cult focused on positivity" though, XXXTentacion was back to confessing that it remains a struggle for him to stay on the straight and narrow, mentally.

"Been trying my best not to get violent. Been trying my best to be positive, but f**k man, this s**t is hard sometimes, 'cause I know I could really embarrass these n****s. Not being negative, just venting and being honest," he'd return to social media to write.
