The man who caught Tom Brady's very first touchdown pass was killed by injuries he sustained in a car accident in Texas on Monday, November 20.

Drew Bledsoe, Damien Woody, Donald Driver and Julian Edelman were some of the names of players who've gone public with condolences for former NFL wide receiver Terry Glenn, who played for the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, and Dallas Cowboys throughout his 12 seasons in the league. Glenn and his fiancee were on the road in their native Dallas when Glenn swerved off of the eastbound side of Highway 114 and slammed into a concrete barrier at around 12:18 a.m. Glenn was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at Parkland Memorial Hospital shortly before 1 am. His fiancee was treated for minor injuries.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick was in his first year heading the team when he worked with Glenn. He recalled him being just as good of a person as he was a player. "I was pretty close with Terry. His rookie season was my first year here in '96, so I had a lot of interaction with him and other people that were involved in his life and his upbringing separate from the Patriots, Belichick said after learning the news of Glenn's death. "Terry's a very smart individual. Had, obviously, a lot of physical skill and talent. Could do a lot of things on the football field very naturally. And I think was, deep down inside, a good person with good intentions and a good heart. Obviously, it's a very unfortunate passing and a sad day. It's sad news."

Glenn amassed 593 receptions for 8,823 yards and 44 touchdowns in his career. He was 43-years-old.
