Somebody pissed off Ashanti by getting a little too imaginative during her show at a venue in Honolulu, Hawaii over the weekend, and drove her to stop her performance to confront the matter.

As Ashanti straddled one of her dancers for a lap dance, dollar bills began to fly onto the Neal S. Blaisdell Center stage. After a moment of hesitance, the Long Island singer/songwriter stood up and called for the music to cease.

"Yo, let me tell you something. I'm gonna need you to stop throwing that money ... I'm not a f***ing stripper, okay?" she told the fan. The noise level from the crowd went up, and the fan put his hands up in the air and backed off before an assistant walked over to deal with the situation.

Coincidentally, it was later reported that the cash was coming from a group of employees from a nearby strip club called Ballarrinas Gentlemen's Club. Ballarrinas' owner, Dyamin Thomas, would eventually take to Instagram to blast Ashanti for putting his employees on the spot. "WAIT Ashanti ain’t that you in your background video throwing money? And aren’t you giving a lap dance? Lmfao .. she ain’t say nothing to me but you gonna pick on the small white boy lol my DJ ?" Thomas wrote.

"Damn. Now we know why #CARDIB the only one winning right now," the Ballarrinas owner then added in the IG post caption.
