Belcalis Almanzar, known to all of us as Cardi B, has had quite a year. From becoming engaged to Migos’ Offset, to hitting number one on the Billboard charts with "Bodak Yellow," to a slew of notable performances and appearances, it appears the former reality television star and rapper isn't slowing down anytime soon.

On Saturday, November 18, Cardi B performed alongside fellow stars J. Cole, French Montana, Yo Gotti, and others at The Real Show at The Forum in Los Angeles. Afterwards, J. Cole spoke to Cardi backstage about her recent success, complimenting her and offering advice on common concerns shared by artists.

First, the lyricist complimented Cardi B, expressing that he's believed in her before her chart-topper status. Then, he references Cardi's recent interview with The Breakfast Club, where she reveals her nervousness with releasing a new album, where she mentions she feels pressure to continue making hits.

“When I seen the interview I was like, ‘She’s in her own head.’ You might like some sh**, and then you start overthinking it. You know what I mean?” He says to her. Cole continued, “Nobody gonna hit number one, don’t try to do it twice. Like, f*** that. Jay-Z’s number one record was like what, three years ago or something? It was the New York record. He’s been out since ’96. The n**** just got his first number one, so it’s like. I already know.”
