The rivalry between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors has been building each year. In 2016, after the Cavs beat the Warriors in the NBA Finals and evened the score, things got even testier between the two.

During LeBron James' annual Halloween party, the Cavaliers feasted on tombstone-shaped cookies that had the names of Warriors' stars like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson on them. Also at the party was a prop with 3-1 written on it, symbolizing the infamous 3-1 lead the Warriors blew in the Finals. While LeBron had his petty hat on in some aspects, it turns out he wasn't responsible for the anti-Warriors theme, according to Cavaliers forward Dahntay Jones. Those were reportedly the work of the party planner and caterer.

"Usually [LeBron's] trolls are funny, but that was not from him. That was from the catering company," Jones said on a recent episode of ESPN's The Russillo Show. "That's why he really doesn't speak of it because the catering company puts that together. If you think LeBron James throws a party, and [deals with] everything from the cookies to the decorations then you're kind of insane. He has a season to prepare for and he's doing party planning. But that was the company that [he] hired. It just happened to be funny at that point in time. They did a good job."
