Update: Despite earlier reports, Meek Mill's court hearing on November 27 has been canceled. According to Philadelphia CBS 3 reporter David Spunt, there was a clerical error with his paperwork. He added that it's unsure if Meek will get a hearing down the line.

------------

News recently surfaced that Meek Mill will be getting a new bail hearing according to CBS Philly. The date for the hearing is set November 27. The news was confirmed by Meek Mill's attorney, Brian McMonagle, and comes only 11 days after he was sentenced to 2-to-4 years in prison by Judge Genece Brinkley for a probation violation.

The news of the bail hearing comes after it was previously reported that Judge Brinkley was being investigated by the FBI. Page Six reported “The feds have an interest in the judge and [her] potential relationships. This is an investigation looking into a possible extortionate demand. Undercover agents have been in the courtroom monitoring the Meek proceedings since April 2016.” It was reported that Brinkley allegedly asked Meek Mill to record a version of Boyz II Men’s “On Bended Knee” and give her a shout out on the song. According to Meek’s lawyer, after he declined, Brinkley responded by saying “suit yourself.”

Despite allegedly being investigated by the FBI, the bail hearing will be in front of Judge Brinkley.
