After three years of dedication and focus on higher learning goals, Swizz Beatz graduated from Harvard University on Thursday, November 16.

Thursday's commencement ceremony marked the end of a journey that the New York producer took on in 2014, when he enrolled in the Ivy League institution's business school. Along the way, Swizz has kept followers on social media up to date with his progress towards completion of the Owner/President Management Program. Up until recently, it wasn't uncommon for fans to visit the 39-year-old father of five's Instagram page and see him sitting with his head in a book, or crossing the school's Massachusetts campus.

While receiving his diploma, Swizz - who was called to the stage by his given name, Kasseem Dean - turned around to show his 2017 graduating classmates the words "From the Bronx to Harvard" embroidered on the back of his blazer. It was an emotional moment for Swizz, and one filled with great meaning that has always been reflected in the rags-to-riches energy that emanates from his music.

“In life we must keep graduating until the end. When I say we must graduate I’m talking about on all levels not just school. This moment is special to me and my family because many people look up to me and they use my drive to thrive,” Swizz would take to IG to state, in the caption of a throwback he posted of him graduating from high school.

Congratulations Swizz!
