The Philadelphia 76ers got a good look at what trusting the process can mean. Their former 3rd overall pick in 2014, Joel Embiid, is showing to be a worthwhile investment. "The Process" as he has been aptly named in Philly after rehabbing from injuries/surgeries is proving to be an all-around beast. Embiid, who stands 7ft tall and weighs 250lbs, can shoot from the outside, has a great post game, and is a force in the paint on the defensive end.
The Los Angeles Lakers got a full serving of Embiid in their Wednesday night showdown in LA. Emiid dominated the Lakers scoring a career-high 46 points and added 15 rebounds, 7 blocks, and 7 assists in their 115-109 win. Embiid showed the full range of his skills hitting threes, pulling out the Eurostep, and gave the Lakers bigs a taste of his Hakeem Olajuwonesque 'Dream Shake.'
Embiid offered fans a very impressive showcase against the upstart Lakers, but the scary thought is that he's still learning and becoming comfortable playing after the surgeries.
